On the 15th of December 2017, 30 families from Ighiu, Alba County, received a Holstein cow. HEKS/EPER Romania and OPEN FIELDS foundations have mobilized to intervene at family level through these donations.

Ighiu commune is a commune with tradition in the field of livestock farming. The donations focused mainly on the families of children attending the school dropout prevention centers organized by the Alba Iulia Orthodox Philanthropy Association, partner of HEKS/EPER Romania Foundation within the project ” Social inclusion and improvement of living conditions for Roma and other vulnerable groups in the counties Mures, Cluj, Bihor, Alba, Covasna, Salaj and Harghita”.
