Reformed Church in Subcarpathian Ukraine

The Reformed Church in Subcarpathian Ukraine is the successor to the centuries-old Reformed tradition in the Transcarpathian region. It was reorganised as an independent diocese in 1921, following the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With approximately 70,000 members, mostly of Hungarian ethnicity, and nearly 100 parishes, the church is active in spiritual, educational, and social fields. It is a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church and the World Communion of Reformed Churches. HEKS/EPER collaborates with this church in supporting vulnerable communities in Ukraine.

Chernivtsi Regional Association for Social Development (AREAC)

AREAC is a non-governmental organisation in Ukraine that carries out community development and humanitarian assistance projects, particularly in the context of the war crisis. It supports displaced persons, organises educational activities, provides social services for vulnerable groups and coordinates the "Supporting community-led response" (sclr) programme, the largest community support initiative in the Chernivtsi region, which is implemented in partnership with HEKS/EPER Romania. AREAC has extensive experience with cross-border projects and actively collaborates with organisations and institutions in Romania.
