In 2025, HEKS/EPER Romania implemented six projects, including three in the field of development cooperation and three in humanitarian aid (including interventions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and support for Ukrainian refugees in Romania). Through these initiatives, the organization reached over 910,000 people, delivering a range of interventions such as career counselling and educational support for youth, direct cash assistance for populations affected by crises, integration activities for Ukrainians, as well as efforts to improve humanitarian access in hard-to-reach areas.
At the same time, the organization contributed to systemic change through advocacy efforts in vocational education, facilitating dialogue among key stakeholders, and developing resources for career guidance and professional orientation. The results reflect an integrated, impact-oriented, and sustainable approach, as well as a continued commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.

In 2024, HEKS/EPER Romania implemented nine projects across the fields of development cooperation and humanitarian aid, with activities carried out in Romania, Ukraine, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Through these efforts, the organization reached over 1.7 million individuals, addressing needs related to humanitarian assistance, community-led responses, employment inclusion, and educational counselling.
Key achievements include the financing of 131 Survivor and Community-Led Response (sclr) initiatives in Romania and Ukraine, the publication of eight position papers on topics such as vocational education and refugee employment, and the organization of two national roundtables with over 80 stakeholders.
This report reflects HEKS/EPER Romania’s continued commitment to dignity, social justice, and supporting sustainable, community-driven solutions in times of crisis and recovery.
