  • Creating space for emotional well-being and self-expression within IMMERSED

On 7 February, within the IMMERSED project, the HEKS/EPER Romania team organised a dedicated session for Ukrainian participants, focused on emotional well-being and inner resilience.

During the first part of the session, we explored practical techniques that support emotional balance in everyday life, including breathing exercises, grounding methods, and mindfulness practices. These tools help reconnect us with the present moment and strengthen our inner resources, especially in times of uncertainty and stress.

We continued with a hands-on creative workshop facilitated by Ukrainian artist Anastasiia Tomashivska, centred on working with clay as a form of emotional expression and grounding. Participants were invited to give shape to their thoughts, dreams and inner experiences. The process became less about the final result and more about presence, exploration and emotional release.

Many participants shared that working with eyes closed allowed them to be less self-critical, more anchored in the moment and more connected to their feelings, without the pressure of “getting it right.”

The session is part of the IMMERSED well-being component, which supports the mental health and emotional resilience of Ukrainians through self-learning materials and practical tools.

We are grateful to everyone who took part with openness and trust, and to Anastasiia for gently guiding this meaningful process.
