  • Group counselling activities within the “Labour-market inclusion for disadvantaged young adults in Romania” project

The Labour -market inclusion for disadvantaged young adults in Romania project, implemented by HEKS/EPER Romania Foundation together with FAER Reghin Foundation and Diakonia Sf. Gheorghe Christian Foundation between 2019 – 2022, works towards a situation where vulnerable young adults, including those from Roma communities, have better access to decent work.

In order to employ young professional school graduates and increase their retention after emplyment, it is important that students understand the criteria by which they should choose their profession.

In group counselling sessions, work mediation experts addressed the topic “How do I choose my profession”.

The students identified the top three occupations that they would each pursue with interest and pleasure. They completed the Holland Interest Questionnaire, and there were discussions about the skills and abilities needed in their chosen profession.
