HEKS/EPER Romania is newly ECHO-certified

On 21 June 2023, HEKS/EPER Romania became the first Romanian aid organisation to be certified by the EU Commission for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).

The ECHO certificate guarantees that HEKS/EPER Romania meets all the conditions for applying for EU funding for humanitarian aid. HEKS/EPER Romania thus commits itself in particular to compliance with the relevant EU and international and national law, to adherence to humanitarian principles and to coherence with EU policy in terms of transparency and accountability.

HEKS/EPER Romania is committed to compliance with ECHO standards and will soon extend its area of operation to other countries by virtue of its experience in emergency aid in hard-to-reach areas.
