HEKS/EPER Romania is pleased to announce that its membership in VOICE – the Voice of International NGOs in Europe – was officially approved during the VOICE General Assembly held in Brussels on 16 June 2026.

The decision marks an important step in our engagement within the European humanitarian ecosystem. For HEKS/EPER Romania, joining VOICE creates a stronger link with the networks and platforms where humanitarian priorities are discussed, coordinated, and shaped at the European level.

As the first and currently only NGO in Romania certified as a DG ECHO partner, HEKS/EPER Romania brings to the network both operational experience and a perspective rooted in the realities of working in complex humanitarian contexts. Through VOICE, we aim to contribute to policy dialogue, exchange lessons learned, and take part in the wider conversations that influence humanitarian action across Europe.

VOICE is the largest European network of humanitarian NGOs, bringing together 94 member organisations from 19 countries. It serves as an important bridge between humanitarian organisations and EU institutions, with a particular role in supporting coordination, advocacy, and principled humanitarian action.

The General Assembly in Brussels was also a moment for strategic exchange within the network. The event reflected VOICE’s strong partner-centred approach and the value it places on member experience and collective learning.

For HEKS/EPER Romania, this membership is both a recognition and an opportunity: a recognition of the work already carried out, and an opportunity to contribute more actively to European-level humanitarian discussions, partnerships, and joint initiatives.

We look forward to being an active member of the VOICE network and to continuing our commitment to effective, coordinated, and principled humanitarian action.
