Between March 25-27, we had the pleasure of organizing a series of information and dissemination sessions for the “Competitive Farmers’ Guide: Certification, Cooperation, Financing” in Vintere, as part of the “Competitive Farmers in the GAL Crișul Negru Territory” project. This event was dedicated to local farmers looking to develop their businesses through certification, cooperation, and access to funding.
Over three days, we discussed essential topics with 27 farmers to support their success in the agricultural sector:
✅ Certification of agri-food products – the necessary steps for obtaining certification and how it can become a competitive advantage in the market. A particularly appreciated session was led by Felicia Tulai, founder of Luna Solai, a great example of rural entrepreneurship. She provided valuable insights on the importance of promoting local products and leveraging authenticity in consumer relationships through certification. Participants had the opportunity to learn from her experience and discover concrete strategies to increase their visibility in the market.
✅ Cooperation in agricultural cooperatives – how farmers can collaborate to increase their chances of success, the benefits and challenges of cooperation, and examples of good practices from Romania and Europe.
✅ Funding for agriculture – opportunities for support in certification, developing short supply chains, and creating more accessible local markets for small and medium-sized producers.
Beyond theoretical discussions, we emphasized practical exercises and experience-sharing, ensuring that each participant left not only with new information but also with applicable solutions for their own activities.
We extend our gratitude to all participants, experts, and the GAL Crișul Negru team for making this event possible!
