Labour-market Inclusion for Disadvantaged Young Adults in Romania (Phase Out)  

Project Objectives: 

1. More socially disadvantaged young people make the transition to professional or higher education.

2. More socially disadvantaged graduates of professional schools are able to enter the formal labour market and stay longer at their jobs.

3. Teachers and school staff demonstrate improved capacity to apply inclusive education practices and deliver effective career counselling tailored to disadvantaged youth.

Project Localization: Covasna County (Sfântu Gheorghe, Baraolt, Bixad, Valea Crișului, Dalnic, Brateș)

Target Group: The target groups are students and young adults from socially disadvantaged groups (Roma, orphans, single-parent families, children with disabilities, children with health problems, families with more than two children; students from rural areas), from Covasna County (finalising the 2025-2026 school year):

• • min. 100 8th grade students as a target group for career counselling.

• • min. 100 11th grade students from professional schools as a target group for information, counselling, and job mediation.

Another target group of the intervention is represented by 12 teachers and/or other school staff (e.g., psychologists, school counsellors) who will participate in capacity building activities.

Planned Activities: career counselling for 8th-grade students, information and counselling for 11th-grade professional school students, job mediation for professional school students, camp for professional school students, capacity building for teachers and other school staff.
