Social Inclusion project: Coordination Meeting and field visits

The Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation in Romania, Mr. Urs Herren, attended the Coordination Meeting of the Programme Management Unit of the Thematic Fund for the Inclusion of Roma and other Vulnerable Groups. The meeting was organized in Targu Mures, on the 12th and 13th October 2017.

The discussions focused on Economic empowerment and the field visits targeted the micro-financing component of our Social Inclusion project.

Three Roma entrepreneurs from Mures County presented their businesses. They also described to the visitors the history and relation they are having with the funding partner, FAER IFN Reghin. Visitors were interested in finding the impact of the loan and the most significant changes that the loan brought into their business but also in their lives.

To date, 45 microloans have been contracted through the Social Inclusion project.
