Employment Sustainability Coach in Iasi, Romania – Part-Time, 50%

We are looking for a proactive and experienced employee to join us starting 1.11.2025 as an Employment Sustainability Coach, based in Iași, as part of the IMMERSED project team.
Job Objectives
Supporting Ukrainian refugees in finding and keeping jobs through employment, wellbeing, and financial mentoring, while fostering integration via discussion clubs. This role connects refugees with employers and the local community, building trust and understanding throughout the employment journey.

- Participate in pilot activities and report feedback for project evaluation and improvement
Main tasks
1. Support professional integration:
- Provide one-on-one and group consultations for Ukrainian refugees during the job search and onboarding processes
- Support refugees in understanding employment contracts, labor rights, and workplace culture in the host country
- Act as a mediator between employers and employees during the probationary period and beyond
- Monitor and assist with the long-term sustainability of employment placements
- Help resolve communication or cultural barriers in the workplace
2. Support integrated intervention:
- Provide support in accessing institutions, NGOs, academia, and the private sector that can support refugees and migrants
- Participate in the organizing of mapping events
- Utilize project-developed training materials and toolkits
3. Support social integration:
- Support the organization of discussion clubs by suggesting topics and activities relevant to the Ukrainian refugee community
- Promote events to refugees and ensure smooth collaboration between host and refugee communities
4. Provide feedback:
- Offer feedback based on pilot activities to contribute to project evaluation and improvement
Requirements
- Preferably a university degree in the social, psychological, or human resources field
- Professional experience in employment counseling, social work, human resources, and NGOs
- Fluency in Romanian and English; knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by refugees
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution skills
What we offer
- Part-time contract (20h/week), fixed-term from 1.11.2025 to 31.05.2026, within a multinational team across 4 countries working to support the resilience of Ukrainian refugees through a multi-layered approach focusing on employability, emotional and financial education
- A monthly gross salary of approximately 3000 RON
