Together in the Kitchen: A Barter Club Bringing Communities Closer

On May 17, as part of the IMMERSED project, we brought together members of Ukrainian and Romanian communities for a barter club event built around authentic cultural exchange.

Participants learned how to prepare vareniki, a traditional Ukrainian dish, in an interactive workshop focused on collaboration and shared learning. Together, we prepared vareniki with potatoes and cheese, guided by the Ucraina Food team, to whom we extend our thanks.

The event was more than just a cooking workshop – it was a chance to spend time together, learn from one another, and connect in a relaxed and friendly way.

At the end, we enjoyed the results together, sharing vareniki with sour cream and compote.
